~ Time Lapse ~

 Hello,

Sorry I have been MIA .. I have been working on a new story and got really into it and have not been on but I have months worth of pages to share soon.

These will be girls specifically stories probably. They are about a little girl who is a Unicorn and today in her story she received Jesus into her heart with a prayer to read. I have one more story to do when she shares it with her project and sponsor and then I will be back with some of the older lessens again too. I am sending these stories to my 5-11 girls. I am not sure but think some of the pre-teens would like them but I will do something else for them. These stories are now moving into Anahi's Quest to learn how to pray to her Heavenly Father.

I am off to write the best part of the story. When she shares with her sponsor that she received Jesus last night.

~ Reconnect to Compassion 2012 ~

I did not have a child for a couple of years while I was dealing with getting diagnosed with bipolar and getting the medication right. But when I got my bipolar medication and on food stamps. we decided that I had the income and needed to sponsor a girl since I could not go to church and tithe there. I was dealing with bipolar and people.

She reminded me of Edilia my first girl. She was just 6 years old when I started supporting her. We spent the next ten years together and she just graduated in 2023. She even dyed her hair red to be like me. I think she looks good with red hair. I miss her and her letters so much. But I did get to visit once.
I searched the website for Honduras looking for that one special girl who would change my life forever. And Dayana was the girl I chose to spend the next few years with.

We had so much fun when I came to visit Honduras in October 2014. I visited just 7 months after I sponsored her.
In March of 2014 I was able to receive disability for the bipolar and lupus and I sponsored Kimberly. She was just 6 when I sponsored her too. She is turning 16 this year.

She was 10 when I received her as my sponsor girl. Now she is 20 and about to graduate this year from the program and I will be devastated when I lose her. I pray that she finds me, and we can keep in touch. She also has red hair now too. My girls are so funny but shows that they love me in ways I do not deserve. They want to look like me. I am so humbled to be loved like that.
Jennifer is my other core group of girls, she is a correspondent sponsorship, but I love her so much she had to be added to this post. Jennifer came to be my sponsor child in April of 2014.

I was given her as a correspondence sponsor girl in November of 2014. She graduated in 2021 and found me on Facebook shortly after leaving the program. I am so happy to have her there where I can write and hear from her still.
Maricel is my last girl that was my core group from the 2014's. She called me auntie and wrote long and often. I miss those long letters and lots of sharing and talking about end times together. She is an amazing young lady.

I have so many girls that I have had a while, and have good relationships with, but I do not have enough room for everyone, but these girls were the beginning of my return to Compassion.

~ July 2002 ~ Edilia ~ Honduras ~

I was working my first full time job for Microsoft/Sykes and living in my motor home. The radio was going one night when I heard the Positive Life Radio having a support Compassion program. I listened for a while and then went to the web site to look for a girl to support.

I was browsing down the choices and came across Edilia, she looked so much like Karen Ann that I had to choose her to support. It was love at first site. I started learning Spanish so that I could read her letters not just the translations. I did not learn much but the start was fun anyway.

This was the next photo that I received of Edilia, and she was such a cutie as she grew, and I sent her lots of photos and things when we were still allowed to mail things to the kids. I miss those days. It was fun to send them real things, but it saves money and I understand the need to stop sending.
Edilia's family got a better job and did not need Compassion anymore so in around 2004 she was gone. I was moving and changing jobs so I did not sponsor again until I was settled. I will not go into my sponsorships after Edilia because I had several off and on as I had work,
I will start sharing with the girls that have touched my life since I came back fulltime to Compassion in 2012. Along with some of the devotionals that I have done and letters written to the girls.

~ In the Beginning ~

 Welcome to My Compassion Blog!!

Today is the first day of my Compassion Blog again. I used to blog for Compassion years ago. I want to share the ups and downs of full-time life of writing over 200 girls. I am so blessed to have the time to touch the lives of all the girls. I am working on the way to 250 girls. I love writing to the girls.

I believe that Compassion is dedicated to help the kids they work with and support the churches that they support for Compassion projects, and that is important all the way around.

Honduras is my heart country. When I got my full-time job for Microsoft I decided I needed something to tithe for and had not found a job. I was listening to PLR one night and they had a Compassion sponsor weekend.
I believe that Compassion is dedicated to help the kids that they work with and support the churches that support for Compassion projects, and that is the important part all around.
I got on the website and looked up girls that needed sponsored. I found Edilia on the search page, and she looked so much like my little cousin Karen Ann that I missed so I sponsored her.

Next would be my Asian countries. I have special girls in all 25 countries that Compassion serves in. There are always good writiers and blah writers in each country. You learn to just talk to them when you write so they get a good letter.

I will start posting some interesting things on my blog as soon as I start setting it up, but wanted to get one quick post as the first day.

I would like to do Saturdays as the devotional or special songs, or things like that. I want to start with my Armor of God study and go from there. So, be sure and check back on Saturdays for some fun.
